Step 2:
In the first row, you'll work one single crochet into the second chain from the hook.
Step 3:
Then make one chain.
Step 4:
You'll skip the next chain, and work a single crochet into the chain that follows.
Step 5:
We'll now repeat this sequence to the end of the row:
- Make one chain.
- Skip the next foundation chain stitch.
- Then work a single crochet into the chain that follows.
Step 6:
To start the second row, turn your work, and make one chain stitch.
Top Tip: The turning chain at the beginning of the rows doesn't count as a stitch in this pattern.
Step 7:
Make one single crochet into the first stitch of the row.
Step 8:
Then make one chain stitch.
Step 9:
Insert your hook into the next chain space created in the row below.
Step 10:
Yarn over, and draw a loop through.
Step 11:
Insert your hook into the next chain space.
Step 12:
Yarn over, and draw a loop through. You will now have 3 loops on the hook.
Step 13:
Yarn over again, and draw a loop through all 3 loops.
Step 14:
Then make one chain stitch.
Step 15:
You'll now repeat the following steps until you reach the end of the row:
- Insert your hook into the same chain space you just worked in.
- Yarn over, and draw a loop through.
- Insert your hook into the next chain space, yarn over, and draw a loop through. You will now have 3 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over again, and draw a loop through all 3 loops.
- Then make one chain stitch.
Step 16:
When you reach the end of the row, make one single crochet.
Step 17:
Repeat the second row as many times as required to create your textured stitch pattern.
