Step 1:
To decrease a double crochet stitch, insert your hook into the next stitch.
Step 2:
Yarn over and pull through but do not complete the stitch yet.
Step 3:
Now insert your hook into the next stitch and yarn over and pull through.
Step 4:
You now want to go through all three stitches by yarn over and pulling through all the loops on your hook.
Step 5:
You’ve now decreased 2 stitches into 1.
And that’s how you decrease a stitch in crochet!
